Thrusters
A new range of thrusters are being developed for use on submersibles and ROVs. These are brushless DC, positive pressure balanced oil filled for 3,000m operation. Available in 316 stainless steel or epoxy coated aluminium alloy. Standard voltage is 250 – 300V DC or AC. Other voltages can be accommodated.
Shaft is equipped with a carbon / ceramic face seal for long life. All internal electrical windings and connections are encapsulated to continue working should the oil be contaminated with sea water.
All thrusters in the range are fitted with generous sized props to maximise efficiency and bollard pull. The tough GRP prop shroud has mounting points moulded in and can be configured either as a shrouded or tunnel thruster.
A variety of electrical connectors including PBOF can be utilised.
